Greetings! |
What a wonderful trip we just completed in Ukraine! Despite the extremely cold and snowy weather, we experienced God’s favor in many ways. Over bumpy, icy and snowy roads we still had many opportunities to preach the Word of God to orphans, to assist nationals in bringing the Christian Message to orphans and their local communities, and to pray for the nation of Ukraine and its people. |
Thanks for Your Prayers and Support | ||
First of all, I wish to thank all of you who donated to and prayed for this mission. Your generous contributions helped to cover travel and translation expenses and to purchase food & gifts for the orphans during our January / February 2010 Trip. In all, our team visited eight orphanages in five regions. Your support helped to spread the Gospel to over 400 children and bring 95 new souls to Christ! And a special thanks goes out to those who answered the call for last-minute support in our previous newsletter. Thanks to you, all trip expenses have been paid and we are moving forward towards our next mission! God answered our prayers in many ways. After missing an opportunity to visit a very large orphanage due to weather and transportation problems, we did finally arrive the following weekend under sunny skies at Sneznoje orphanage which houses over a hundred children. There was another snowstorm the night before and our car got stuck in the snow – but only a couple hundred meters from the facility! All this happened in Sneznoje, which means “snowy town!” The day was a wonderful blessing for the children there. The Donetsk team performed a show complete with clowns and dancers, and later presented the Nativity Story. During the trip we were also blessed with several divine appointments with pastors and other spiritual leaders in Lugansk, Cherkassy and Zhitomir that gave us encouragement and vision for our next visit this summer.

Summing Up a Great Trip! |
Our January/February Trip was both a great trip and an unusual one. Although we didn’t make it to one thousand kids, we did visit hundreds of orphans and brought to them the simple Gospel of Hope and Salvation. I feel great hope for our next visits later this year with new contacts in Lugansk, Kharkov and Cherkassy regions. This means more orphanages to visit in more remote locations where, as I said, the Gospel message has likely not been brought before. These are the places Hearts for Ukraine will spread the Gospel and continue to bring hope to the oppressed. Thank you for making our part of the Great Commission possible! |
May God bless you for supporting His Kingdom work in Ukraine!
