Thank You for Making This Mission Possible
I want to express my deepest gratitude to every donor and prayer warrior for your support! Because of your generosity and prayers, the December trip to Kenya was an unbelievable success! Together we brought hope to the weary, lost and hungry. So it is with great excitement that I share with you everything God did during our time there starting with the first few days in Nyeri. Subsequent posts will cover the middle and end of the trip, so stay tuned for more updates!
Experience the life-changing power of God’s presence as lives are transformed, children find faith, and hope rises in the heart of Kenya.
Nyeri 1 – Dec 5 – 8, 2024
Our team arrived in Nyeri on my birthday, December 5, 2024. Nyeri, in central Kenya, is the home of my host, Pastor Elisha of Hope Assembly KAG. His church was planted right next to the Whitemere Slums, the largest slum area in Nyeri. To reach the church, we drove directly through the slums, where severe poverty and lack were evident everywhere we looked.
Approaching the church gate, our van was met by a joyful procession of church members dancing, singing, and warmly welcoming me and our team. The anticipation for our visit was high because we had been preparing many months for this 20-day mission trip that would cover Nyeri, Nakuru, Nyamira, and other areas. Especially exciting was the fact that Pastor Elisha had shared a prophetic word with me before I left: that I would be “Bringing the Ark back to Kenya.” What a humbling realization for me knowing the Ark of the Covenant, represents the very presence of God!
Stepping foot onto the church grounds, I felt incredibly happy having seen photos and videos of recent improvements, all while anticipating what hope, inspiration, and power God would bring as we experienced His presence in this place.

A Joyous Birthday Welcome
Inside, 400 children were gathered to celebrate my birthday. One of the worship songs that day was “I Have A Very Big God,” a lively praise tune that immediately set the tone for joyous worship and prepared everyone’s hearts for the message. I taught the children that sin separates us from God, but Jesus made a way for us to become part of God’s family. He paid for our sins on the cross so we could be saved from punishment. All we must do is believe in Him, ask Him to be our Lord and Savior, and strive to live in a way that honors Him. I invited any who were ready to pray and confess faith in God to do so; and about 15 children accepted Jesus that day! Praise God!
A Prophetic Word for Africa
From the start, we could sense God’s presence manifesting through salvations and the gifts of the Spirit. During the service, Francis, one of the leaders, gave me a kikoy (an African wrap) adorned with an outline of Africa made from seashells. As he wrapped it around me, he prophesied that God was giving me the continent of Africa, opening doors not only in Kenya but all across of Africa.
I cut my birthday cake at the end of the service. Then, as the children sat outside on the grass, we served them a hot meal and a piece of cake. A day or so later, a touching story reached me that a five-year-old boy who saw me drinking Dasani water asked his mom if he could have some “American water.” He told her, “I want to be like him. I don’t want to sin anymore.”

Teaching and Healing
On Friday and Saturday, December 6 and 7, I spoke to older children and adults, teaching on the importance of tithing, explaining that God desires to bless us, and sharing the principle of seed, time, and harvest—that we reap what we sow.
On Sunday, December 8, we held two powerful services. I taught on faith, worship, and healing, then we opened the alter for prayer. Many came up with requests for healing. Then I prayed for six church leaders who later testified that the prophetic words they received were accurate and truly blessed them.
In total, 30 people experienced healing that day, and several others were delivered from demonic activity such as bad dreams and alcohol abuse. After returning home, I learned of an especially wonderful answer to prayer: a woman who had struggled for many years to conceive became pregnant the very next month!
Continuing the Mission
Together, we continue to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus to those in dire need. Your support made this life-changing journey possible, and I cannot thank you enough for partnering with us—spiritually and financially—to reach across borders and share God’s love.
Remember to stay tuned for subsequent posts that will cover the rest of this amazing trip!
