Hearts for Ukraine’s purpose is preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to orphans and praying for Ukraine. We are broadening our ministry to other nations as the Lord leads. Beside Ukraine and areas of Eastern Europe where war refugees have fled, we also have an active ministry in Kenya, Africa.

2024 Ministry Travel Plans: Ukraine/Eastern Europe

We’ve set our sights on early 2024 for a mission trip to Ukraine (as safety allows) and/or Poland to meet with, minister to and encourage our partners who have endured the war these last 2 years and have fed and ministered to literally thousands of orphans, refugees and families. 

2024 Ministry Travel Plans: Kenya

We hope to send a small team to Kenya in Spring of 2024. We will visit Nyeri and Nakuru, Kenya. We have been supporting a few key pastors in these regions who minister to poor children and families in the slums and in urban areas. Stay tuned for updates ad we firm up our travel itinerary for 2024.

Nov/Dec 2021 Trip to Western Ukraine

I’m very excited to announce another mission to Ukraine! I leave right after Thanksgiving and return on Dec 7, 2021. The Lord has put Western Ukraine on my heart again. I’ll be going to Ternopil and Zhitomir regions to once again, preach the Gospel in orphanages and churches. I will be hosted by a few of my friends who dedicate their lives to helping in children and families with their physical and spiritual needs. 

Whenever we visit an orphanage, we not pray for the children and teach them about God’s love for them, We bring gifts to them like needed school supplies, staple foods, clothing, or medicine. We usually ask the director before we arrive what the greatest need is; then our ministry purchases the requested items and brings them to the orphanage. Obviously, there is a funding need for a trip like this: to buy gifts for the orphans, to travel there, for ground transportation, lodging and translation.

As I write this, there is only a few days left to plan and raise much needed funding So, I am asking my readers to consider donating towards this trip. Any amount you can give will be greatly appreciated!

Our December 2020 Trip to Ukraine was Awesome!

Our Mission Expands to Other Nations!

In recent years, God has placed other nations on my heart. We connected with a pastor in Kenya, Africa, about three years ago who himself has an orphan ministry. Pastor Enock was called by God from the city where he was living – to a slum area. Other pastors did not want to minister there, but Enock said yes. He moved his family to Nakuru village and adopted over 30 children. Enock provides for these orphan kids and for the widows in his church. He also has a youth carpentry program where he teaches the older youth how to work and help support their community, and at the same time, learn a trade that will help them become self-sufficient in the future.

For the last 2 years we have been supporting Pastor Enock with prayer, encouragement, and financial help, and more recently have helped him make his land payments.

In February, I will be traveling to Kenya to minister and pray with Pastor Enock and his church family.  I leave on February 22 and will be there for 6 days.

In James 1:27, we read, “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”

Please pray for me and for this man of God, Pastor Enock and his children. And if you feel led to give, it will certainly be a blessing!             Thank you!
